The Sephardic House

Newly remodeled in 2008, The Sephardic Educational Center began a new venture in hospitality with our hotel named The Sephardic House. The guest rooms have been designed meticulously in order to carefully conserve their historical features create a harmonious blend with modern luxury and comfort, so that guests can enjoy a truly unique holiday experience.

The Sephardic House is within walking distance of the magical alleyways of the Old City of Jerusalem, the ancient Hurva Synagogue, the Kotel (Western Wall), Mt. Zion, the Kotel tunnels, the Armenian Quarter, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Mamilla District, the Jerusalem Cinemathèque and town center. This location provides an extremely convenient starting point for walks around the Old City, while its proximity to the Western Wall transforms it into an attractive venue for hosting Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and other family events.

Events at The Sephardic House

THE LOCATION
The Sephardic House nestles at the very heart of the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City only five minutes’ walk away from the Kotel (Western Wall), which makes it an ideal venue for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, or a Shabbat Chatan – Shabbat celebrations for bride and groom.

THE FACILITIES
Its facilities include three event halls and a patio that lend themselves to events, such as: Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, britot (circumcisions), Shabbat Chatan, and a range of family celebrations or business occasions.

Our experienced professional team will be pleased to advise you on menu ideas to suit your budget, take you on a tour of the halls, and will be at hand to assist you with your special event, from the moment you book until after the event itself.

THE PATIO
The Sephardi Heritage House offers its guests a magical corner for relaxation in this stunning courtyard patio, built in traditional Spanish Jewish style. The delightful courtyard square is paved with mosaic tiles and the complementary décor is similarly inspired by historical motifs.

The patio is located at the heart of the residence and surrounded by two floors of galleried rooms. This beautiful open air space with its unique architecture offers a harmonious blend of historical and modern design.

The patio has a capacity of 100 guests.

 

THE EVENT HALLS:

LARGE HALL
The main hall with a seating capacity of 140 serves as the guest house dining room and is also available for all types of events or celebrations, as well as for private dining and group hospitality.
SMALL HALL
The small hall with seating for up to 50 guests can be hired for a range of private events, seminars and conferences.
RISHON LETZION HALL
This separate hall is suitable for events of up to 100 guests.
